Horse Feeds

It is very important for every horse owner, a special care to feed for horses, to give to keep the animal healthy and strong. In general, a horse rather to approximately 20 to 40 pounds of hay on a regular basis made. This amount is excluded from the grain is eaten daily. This is such an animal that loves to eat and they love to chew all the time. The survey says that an average 1,000-pound horse eats about 5 pounds. Grain per day. The total amount of horse feed is twice broken as such animals do not have large stomachs. Also horse drinker. At least they have to drink 800 gallons and 1,000 gallons of water per day. This is the calculation for an average horse. It is recommended that such animal or mineral salt blocks in the winter, so that they can never be dehydrated.

There are a number of horse feeds on the market in the recent time. Grain and pellets are the common feed for the horse. Sweet feeds are preferable and most of the owner offers sweets, their animal, as it has vitamins and minerals. Both are essential for a horse with molasses for flavor. The pellets are generally used in animal feed to increase only on the artificial sweetener. Oats, corn, or other kinds of natural grains are not as preferable to such animals as horses, despite the fact that pellets are more expensive than those of natural feed

How to Load A Horse On A Trailer ?

Walking on a trailer can experience very frightening for horses. Fortunately, most horses are enough to accept many of the strange things that throw them, but even the calmest horse can sometimes dig in their hooves as the voice of a horse trailer. Learn how to load a horse on a trailer safely and quickly is a crucial lesson for all horse owners.

First, we need to understand for a minute, because horses are sometimes afraid or reluctant to take to get into a trailer. If you think about it, is a truck horse trailer or an enclosed space, usually with a single entry or exit point.

For a horse, entering a confined space is a very dangerous, risky thing to do. Once in there, they're unable to flee from any kind of danger.
Flight is one of the horses natural responses to a frightening or dangerous situation, so by asking them to enter a horse trailer, we're asking them to go against their natural instincts. It's little surprise then that some horses will baulk at the trailer ramp!
So what's the best way to load a horse on a trailer?
There's no one best way for all horses - what works best for your horse is the best way - but here are some suggestions to help make life a little easier for all:
  1. Park the trailer in a confined space if possible so if the horse takes off he can't go very far.
  2. Also make sure the horse trailer is parked in a safe place - not on the edge of a road, next to a large ditch, wire fence or any other kind of hazard.
  3. Depending on your horse, it might be best to open the float and have it ready for them to enter before you go and catch them.
  4. Place some hay in a hay bag or rack in the front of the trailer to help tempt them in. There's much debate on whether or not you should let a horse eat while travelling. Personally, I let my horses eat if they want to, but if you'd rather they didn't, just remove the feed once the horse is loaded.
  5. When possible, remove the centre divider completely or move to one side. Obviously if there's another horse already in (& it's a double trailer) you won't be able to do this, but 90% of horses will load much better when the divider has been moved across.
  6. Don't rush the horse. Give them time to smell the ramp & check the float out before you try to lead them in.
  7. Walk confidently up to the trailer. If you walk onto the trailer with the attitude that the horse will go straight, it is likely that they will. If you're waiting to see, they will make ends meet and therefore we believe it is something not right in the trailer, and not to go in

My Child Is a Horse ?

Kids love horses. That is a fact. Most parents at some point asked if their child can have horse, no matter where you call home. What you need to know when deciding on a horse for a family pet? Here are some things to think about when your child asks for a horse.

Fact: A horse can be a wonderful pet. If your child is old enough to read and research books in the library, you will find your child, you study some basic horse care books and what it cares for these animals. Armed with this research, sit down and think about these 5 questions before they get a horse.
----Where will the horse be kept? City dwellers often have a horse but this requires boarding the animal at a local stable. How far is your home located from a stable? The cost to board a horse may run from 150.00 dollars a month up to 800.00 dollars a month depending on your state, the type of boarding facility, and the time and attention your horse will get from the stable employees. Will the horse be stalled or let out to graze? Who will pay for the horse's vet bills if sick or injured at the facility? How often does the vet come to the stable? All of these questions and answers may add to the monthly expense.

If you have acreage and a barn, do you have fencing up or will that be an expense? Do you have pasture or will you still need to purchase hay? Consider where your horse will be kept and if now is the time to become a horse owner.

---. How much time does the family have to devote to the ownership and care of a horse? Is the child who wants the horse old enough to care for the animal without adult assistance or will it require an adult to be there for morning and night care. Is the horse to be a show horse or a family pet? Showing horses requires much time and practice as well as extended attention to the animal. Consider the purpose of a horse as a pet for your child.

--- What is involved in the care of a horse? Your child should know from reading about basic care that a horse must be brushed, hooves must be cleaned, stalls must be mucked out frequently, and that the horse needs clean fresh water daily. The horse should also be fed twice a day to keep it healthy and free from colic. Family members must understand the care required before committing to a horse as a pet. Horses love attention too, and human contact is a must to keep your horse from developing bad habits.

---- What is the financial responsibility for owning a horse? Hay can be 2.00 dollars a bale up to 7.00 a bale depending on what kind of growing season the hay farmer has had during the past months. A horse may go through a bale of hay a day or every other day if no pasture is available.
Bagged feed can run 12.00 - 22.00 dollars for approximately 50 pounds and that would be a weekly or bi-weekly cost. Vet bills, the initial cost of the horse, and quarterly worming medicine and vaccines is also an added expense, as is the boarding fees.

--- Now the best part, the benefits of owning a horse. Horses are by far the sweetest and most loving animals available if you have the time to spend developing that relationship. Horses love and nuzzle beyond words and as a horse owner, I can say they are worth the cost to me. But for most families who don't live on acreage, a horse may not be the best pet for your child. And keep in mind, horses can be dangerous as well. Young children must be supervised.

Of alternatives to horse ownership could include riding lessons at a local stable. Older children and young people can look at a stable volunteer work, learn more about the care of horses. Another place to check, volunteer work for young people to save horse barns are. Most states have the farmers and horse owners who work with horses rescued. Many times they need volunteers who care for rescued horses and cleaning stalls for the animals.

THE ARAB HORSE : History

THE ARAB HORSE  is widely considered as the starting point for all races the most modern in the world. The dominance extraordinary journey has ensured the race has received an incredible genetic purity. When these genes for breeding programs to introduce this gene has dominant influence on the renewal of a clear and powerful and has a refinement.

But let all modern breeds can return to their heritage for the Arab, they are the world's most famous thoroughbred race of the best known of the foundation. The blood was red specifically for its speed and performance, it is not possible with the Arab world for its strength, endurance, intelligence - even if you listen to his fans - this is pure beauty

History

there were a few horse breed books kept at the times the Arab horse was first being developed, the Bedu tries of Arabia maintain pedigrees by word-of-mouth rather than written record. In fact one of the earliest written history is of the Arab breed was not created until 786 A.D. when the Arab historian El Kelbi, attempted to document a written record of the pedigree history of the Arabian horse with their period recorded dating back to 3000 BC. Of course the accuracy of this record is a matter of conjecture is likely largely based on assumptions that certainly underlines just how ancient this breed is the development starting more than 5000 years ago.

Around 1000 years later the Emir Abd-el-Kader corresponded with theFrenchman, General Daumas , wherein he divided the history of the breed into four eras:

  • · New have a look at, Weimaraner Roman";">         Adam to Ishmael;
  • · New look at, Pyrenean Mountain Dog - Great Pyrenees Roman";">         Ishmael to Solomon;
  • · New also look at, Keeshond Roman";">         Solomon to the Prophet Mohammed;
  • · New also see, Scarlet Macaw Roman";">         and then from the Prophet onwards.

He also provided an explanation of the Arab's creation which, though beautiful, is at odds with the obvious genetic transformation this evolution of the Arab which had taken place over this time

"When God wanted to create the horse, he said to the South Wind, 'I want to make a creature of you. Condense'. And the Wind condensed. The Archangel Gabriel immediately appeared and took a handful of the stuff and presented it to God, who made a brown bay, or burnt chestnut, upon saying, 'I call you Horse; I make you Arabian and I give you the chestnut colour of the ant; I have hung happiness from the forelock which hangs between your eyes; you shall be the Lord of the other animals. Men shall follow you wherever you go; you shall be as good for pursuit as for flight; riches shall be on your back and fortune shall come through your mediation.' Then He put on the horse the mark of glory and happiness, a white mark in the middle of the forehead."

Clearly this is not an accurate history of the development of the Arabian horse that it does demonstrate the passions that can be invoked by this ancient but still relevant and magnificent horse breed.

The four eras proposed by Abd-el-Kader are more firmly rooted in fact.

  • · New look at, Friesian Horse Roman";">         The first the first error deals with the development of the horse other than to established their first recorded usage. Ishmael, the outcast son of Abraham and the first ancestor of the desert Bedu tribes, was a real person who made use of horses.
  • · New checkout, Pet Mice Varieties Roman";">         After the break-up of the Bedu tribes, which followed the death of Ishmael, the story and development of this desert horse continued in King Solomon's reign.
  • · New consider, Soft Bills - Toucans Roman";">         With total disregard for the Israelite law that forbade the keeping of horses on the grounds of idolatry, Solomon encouraged horse-breeding by keeping no fewer than 1,200 riding horses and 40,000 chariot horses in his royal stables. When it came to the Arabian horse rules even back then were meant to be broken
  • · New try, Thoroughbred Horses Roman";">         Finally, there is the influence of the Prophet Mohammed

Studs
The 18th and 19th century state studs of Europe, namely the  Marbach in Germany, Janow Podlaski in Poland, Babolna in Hungary, and the French studs at Pompadour, Pau, Tarbes, and Gelos, or played major roles in the development of the Arab horse the Arab horse. Undoubtedly private studs also provide direction though this is less well documented. The Potocki family, reflecting the long Polish association with these horses, bred superb Arabians at their famous Anton Stud. These Arabs were to extend their influence all over the world.

In the United Kingdom, Wilfrid and Anne Scawen Blunt founded the Crabbet Stud upon their turn from Arabia Arabia in 1878-79, when it was clear the breed that point was in decline. Surely thereafter they purchased the remaining of the world's most renowned collection of Arabs, which at that point were owned by Abbas Pasha I. Crabbet horses went on to become the foundation courses for the development of Arabs not only in the UK but also in the US, Australia, and South Africa.

CONFORMATION
unique in appearance among the equine breeds is commonly asserted that only one true type of pure Arabian exists, but is one of short very fine, dry head with clearly visible waning. Face is notably concave, or dished, was the forehead is convex forming a shield shape known as the jibbah. The Arabians muzzle is so small it will fit into a child's cupped hand contrasting with very wide nostrils capable of flaring much wider. Eyes are enormous, expressive and captivating.

The late R.S. Summerhays, wrote that "in appearance they must be dark and deep in colour, very soulful in the mare, in the stallion showing great alertness, with enormous challenging dignity". The ears are short and mobile and curve inwards. The jaw bones are so well rounded that it is possible to placea fist between them. Another notable feature is the mitbah, the point where the head joins the neck. The greater the arch here, the more easily the head can be moved in all directions.

ORIGINS-ARABIAN SEA
the original birthplace of the Arab is likely never to be known that there is evidence they were present on the Arab Peninsula from the half thousand BC and there they remained in that your form of thousands of years. As the Moslems extended their reign cross this area in the seventh century A.D. the Arabian breed’s influence extended with them. Much later in the 18th and 19th centuries it was established in the state studs of Europeand then to private studs in the UK. From there they  spread to Russia, Scandinavia, the US, and the English-speaking countries, to become the major force in equine development.

Arabian curious a backbone of the whole consists of 17 ribs, five lumbar vertebrae of the coccyx and 16 were other breeds have 18 ribs see lumbar and 18 bones of the tail. And:.. "This bone formation allows the special form of back-and district with the high tail carriage combines the Arab movement in a pending action as invisible bounce on springs Some specimens have been known to heights of more than 15 hands high H often average about 14 , 3 hands up to be. Small items left, but under 14.2 hands high and will always be an Arab horse and a pony ever

There are two reasons?

No other animal has seen the most dramatic developments in the creation and extinction of the races in the last hundred and 50 compared to the horse. There are two reasons

  • the invention of the combustion engine and the motor vehicle with motorised vehicles becoming the most popular form of transport and domestic freight haulage.
  • The increasing popularity of all sports.
Shortly after the introduction of motor vehicles has begun a massive decline in all breeds of horses. The horses could only use the offer of writing pulling carriages for transporting small decrease in number. Even more dramatic was the decline in the number of horses used for heavy farm machinery or heavy tanks. In fact, many breeds have become extinct or very close to it before being implemented in organizations to ensure their preservation.

While technology has played a minor role in the use of the horse, but has also played a role in the development of new breeds. Easier transport of farm animals - invention semen samples from freezing significantly increased the variety of bloodlines available to horse breeders.

For sports, have been popular ever increasing popularity in the last hundred years. Not only increased the popularity of horse sports, but so has the level of competitiveness and breeders have been to create horses with the highest levels of strength, jumping ability, strength and courage. Breeders have crossed the horses with different positive attributes to try to create breeds with the best points of all taxpayers genetic influence.

Horse breeding has thus taken a very different direction than dog breeding. In the main, dogs are bred to a standard. Very rarely are bred for a purpose, except in the case of where animals are bred for working competitions such as sheep herding, dogsled racing etc. Horse breeding on the other hand has been almost entirely focused on creating horses with greater physical attributes than their parents. Breeding a horse to a standard remains important in being able to define the actual breed at the horse can claim to be. That said, I can assure you any rider winning a major Showjumping championship is more interested in the physical qualities of their horse and what breed it is for its genetic make up.

As was being sorted by breed, horses may be sorted by all manner of different criteria. Size for example can be used to categorise horses, sizes being pony standard and heavy. Some breeds come in all three sizes whilst others come in a single of these sizes.   Horses can also be categorised by colour, for example I horse may be classed as a as a bay horse, or a paint horse and horses from different breeds and fall within this category.

Below we have collected some of the most popular breeds today and the history of your choice and request investigation and race could best adapt to what you're looking for in a horse. O extends not only vary in size, ranging in capacity from physical temperament, longevity, jumping ability, strength ... And the price.
